Hi, my name is Kayla. I am a high school sophomore in Texas who loves to do graphic design, healthcare, playing piano, teaching, and working with kids. When I'm not in class or at swim practice, you may find me hanging out with friends or spending time with my family.
I'm also the “go-to tutor” in my friend group, always helping them with math, science, and anything else that needs a little more explanation. At home, I'm a big sister to two siblings.
And now, I've founded and started Health Under Cover, turning my love for creativity and teaching into a mission to make health education fun, simple, and meaningful for kids everywhere. I really hope to see this project grow and reach kids across Texas and the globe one day.
Hi, my name is Jonathan Kim; and I am a 9th-grade student with a strong passion for swimming, math, and gaming. In my free time, I often play my saxophone and solve math problems to sharpen my skills for math competitions. At school, I find myself helping classmates frequently. When my friends have any problem with the work we are doing, many seek my help. I enjoy challenging myself both in and out of the pool, and I am always eager to learn new things. I love to explore creative ideas and help others in need.
Looking ahead, I hope to pursue a career in the field of medicine, where I can combine my love of science with my desire to help others in order to make an impact on others.
I partnered with this organization because I believe that knowledge is an inalienable wealth. As a competitive swimmer, I experienced first hand the importance of health knowledge such as hydration, nutrition, etc. The knowledge I gained allowed me to perform better at my races and have a higher attendance rate at school and swim. Furthermore, it will continue to help me through out my teen years as well as my adult life. My vision for this organization is that we will boost the lives of families in the state of Texas. Within the organization, I play an important role in developing and maintaining our website. I also help plan and execute the logistics needed to ensure projects and events run smoothly. My technical skills and collaborative mindset make me a valuable member of the team.
Hello, my name is Audrey, and I’m a 9th grader who loves swimming, healthcare, and art. When I have free time, I enjoy drawing, learning new skills, and solving puzzles. I love to challenge myself and help others.
In the future, I hope to be a doctor, as medicine and service have always been primary interests of mine.
Joining this organization has been such a great opportunity, as I believe spreading knowledge is one of the best ways to help people. This aligns with Health Undercover’s goal, which is to make learning about health fun for kids, so that children everywhere can educate themselves on such an important topic. My hope for this project is that it will grow to have a large outreach and be able to teach kids everywhere.
